The second European Climate Change Adaptation Conference (ECCA) is taking place in Copenhagen on May 12-14. The conference offers a platform for researchers, policy makers and business to share new research results, policy developments and practical implementation experiences regarding climate change impacts and adaptation. The ENHANCE project partners have been invited to contribute to this conference.
Following the 2013 Hamburg edition, which welcomed more than 700 participants, this year ECCA will cover a broad range of issues in relations to climate change adaptation: risk assessment, economics of adaptation, governance adaptation, business opportunities and public-private partnerships… The underlying objective ? Supporting the transition to low carbon societies.
IVM, FEEM, IIASA, HKV, UP CEABN and ARPA-ER are the seven ENHANCE partners joining forces in Copenhague. They will be involved in the following sessions:
1) Adaptation policies and measures in the Mediteranean region
2) The role of critical infrastructures in disaster risk mitigation
3) Adapting to Extreme Events: risk transfer and insurance provision in the EU and its member states
4) Managing flood risk in the EU
More information will be published in the coming days.
