ENHANCE project e-news alerts
Between July 2014 and March 2016 the ENHANCE project sent six e-news alerts, each carrying interviews, new reports or conference coverage, with a PDF copy and a web version of every issue.
ENHANCE kept readers informed through a series of e-news alerts. Six issues appeared between July 2014 and March 2016, each available as a PDF and as a web version sent through Campaign Monitor. Together they give a compact timeline of the project’s middle and late years.

The first issue paired two senior figures. Margareta Wahlström was then the UN Secretary-General’s Special Representative for Disaster Risk Reduction, and Kristalina Georgieva was EU Commissioner for International Cooperation, Humanitarian Aid and Crisis Response. Christos Stylianides, who became European Commissioner for Humanitarian Aid and Crisis Management on 1 November 2014, gave the interview that headlined the last issue in March 2016, a year after the Sendai Framework had been adopted and with an EU action plan on implementing it in preparation.
The issues in between follow the project’s own rhythm. November 2014 brought the first results from the case studies. January 2015 carried the introductory video. March 2015 was devoted to the Sendai conference, where the partners wrote a letter a day. November 2015 returned to a theme that ran through several case studies, the way people perceive risk, already the subject of the D4.1 report on risk cultures in Europe.
